Fairfield Warehouse: Summer Food Service Boxing Project 2025
This Boxing Project is a volunteer opportunity in our Fairfield warehouse. This is an assembly line type project where volunteers fill food boxes to be given out at our West Coast relief partner, Hawaii’s, Summer Food Service Program distribution. Volunteers will be packing boxes with shelf-stable items that will contain enough food for a child to eat for one week. This position does require standing, bending, and some volunteers may need to lift filled boxes that weigh up to 35 lbs.
- All volunteers must be individually scheduled and must be 16 years of age or older. Team Registration is not available for this opportunity.
- Masks are optional for all volunteer shifts.
- If you sign up for a shift that you cannot attend, please log into your account and remove yourself so that someone else can sign up to help us.
- All volunteers must wear a nametag and closed-toed shoes.
- The warehouse temperature can vary so volunteers should dress accordingly; we recommend volunteers dress in layers.
- Volunteers may be asked to stand, bend, and lift food boxes and bags.
- Individuals needing court-ordered community service MUST complete the court-ordered community service request online and be accepted prior to signing up for a shift.
