Product Inventory Volunteer 2025
Product Inventory Volunteers are needed at the Fairfield Warehouse.
The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano is looking for Product Inventory Volunteers to support our Fairfield warehouse. Food Bank Product Inventory Volunteers will assist Food Bank staff with counting and verifying quantities on outbound pallets, as well as re-stacking the product so that food product can be moved into and out of the fridge/freezer. We are looking for multiple volunteers who can make a 2-hour commitment twice a week for up to a three-month term.

Volunteer Functions and Responsibilities:
- Counting outbound orders
- Verifying quantities of shipments
- Notifying Food Bank staff of any discrepancies in product and outbound paperwork
- Re-stacking product on pallets
Volunteer Qualifications:
- Interest in the mission of the Food Bank
- Basic knowledge of safe lifting techniques
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. in repetitive motion
- This volunteer opportunity requires someone to frequently stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, and crouch
- This volunteer opportunity is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and cold temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- Ability to work independently or with other volunteers and Food Bank staff members
- Ability to create an online Food Bank volunteer account
- Ability to make a three-month commitment
- Must be at least 18 years of age
