Family Volunteer Day on Easter at Concord Warehouse 2017
Families with children as young as five are invited to a family volunteer opportunity at the Concord warehouse. This special Family Volunteer Day will be held on Easter Sunday. We have two volunteer shifts available: 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. This unique opportunity allows parents and grandparents to bring children as young as five years old to volunteer at the Food Bank. Normally, the minimum age required to volunteer is 11 years. This is a great opportunity for families new to the Food Bank. Volunteers will bag or box fresh produce to help those in need in our community, take a tour, and participate in an advocacy project. • All volunteers must be scheduled. • Family Volunteer Day shifts are limited to 50 people. Scheduling is first come, first served. • When signing up, it is critical you tell us how many guests and the ages of all children. • Closed toe shoes are mandatory (tennis shoes are fine). • The warehouse temperature can vary so volunteers should dress accordingly; we recommend dressing in layers. • No court-ordered community service is available for this shift.
